Engagement photos Gilbert Arizona Ginger E Photography

You booked an engagement session,
now what?

I wanted to take a minute to share  my "why" and my photography style with you before we work together. I have a few guidelines for our session which I will list below. I also have a quick questionnaire that I ask that you fill out before our session. Taking a few minutes to go through these steps, will help ensure that we have a wonderful session.

I thank you for taking the time out of your day to do this.

What to Expect From Your Session

I am an outdoor natural light photographer. I love capturing the dynamics and true love story of a couple.  We will work to get the many facets of your dynamic together, leaving you with photos that not only tell your story, but that you LOVE!

Our Session Rules

  • Coordinate Outfits: Plan outfits that complement each other and fit the location and season. Avoid busy patterns or clashing colors. Opt for colors that complement your skin tones and enhance the overall aesthetic of the photos.

  • Relax and Be Yourselves: Embrace the natural moments and allow your photographer to capture your genuine connection. Laugh, interact, and enjoy the session together to create authentic and heartfelt images.

  • Consider Professional Hair and Makeup: These pictures are often included in your wedding slideshow, invitations and Christmas cards. You will want to look your best. If you feel comfortable being more done up than natural, consider hiring a professional hair and makeup artist to help you look and feel your best for the photoshoot.

  • Time of Day Matters: Consider scheduling the session during the golden hour (one to two hours before sunset) for soft, flattering lighting that adds a romantic glow to your photos.

  • Bring Props if Desired: If there are any props that hold significance or add a playful element to your shoot, feel free to bring them along. This could be anything from a vintage bicycle to a blanket for a cozy picnic-themed shoot.

  • Communicate with Your Photographer: Share your ideas, preferences, and any specific shots you'd like to capture with your photographer. This will help them tailor the session to your unique style and personalities.

  • Relax and Have Fun: Remember that engagement sessions are meant to be enjoyable and stress-free. Don't be afraid to let loose, have fun, and simply be yourselves. The more relaxed you are, the better your photos will turn out.
